In a Brunei-Malay traditional wedding, the the bride and groom literally have their feet washed.
The feet-washing ceremony, called the "Majlis Berbasuh Kaki", is usually conducted on the day of the wedding, during which members of both families pour water on the feet of the bride and her groom.
After the water has been poured, relatives of both families shower the couple with gifts of money, wellwishes and keepsakes.
