171/365 Out For A Walk
I got a lot accomplished today. I finished editing the pictures from the walk yesterday and did a lot of things around the house. After dinner, Geronimo and I took a walk.
My favorite author died today. Frank McCourt was the author of Angela's Ashes and Tis. They are fantastic books about growing up poor in Ireland. His books teach that anyone can overcome the tragedies and hardships of childhood and be anything that they want. Thank you for sharing your stories Mr. McCourt. Your words have made me laugh and cry. What a gift you have shared.
In the Daily Self Portraits photo essay.

Yes, a sad day indeed for the literary world. I have read Frank McCourt's books and his brothers. Angela's Ashes made such an impact and stands alone as a truly great book.
I like this image of you and Geronimo heading off down the road, just like Frank McC. has done...headed off somewhere quiet. A statement indeed Regenia. -
