A Kid Standing On Top of The World

Silhouette of a youth standing on top of Hawaii's Mount Haleakala circa August 1981. This photo shows "science city" as the installation of telescopes and research stations for civilian and Military use is called. Since this photo, many new telescopes, lasers and instruments have been added completely changing this landscape. Half an hour later the sun was completely down (taken at sunset) and the colors burst in an awesome display. Too bad I had shot my last frame here with this image and was unable to capture God's Light show. It was my first trip to Hawaii. This image was scanned from Kodachrome with a Nikon ED 5000 film scanner. Exposure and camera unrecorded.
