My wife and I spent a month travelling all over England last September and October. During our visit we spent a afternoon and evening in this beautiful old fishing village of Polperro. This shot was taken during the evening as we were wandering the village looking for a good place for dinner.
We found an excellent place to eat and stuffed ourselves on locally caught and grown foods.
These rowboats seem to be an easy way for residents to cross the harbor without having to walk the long way around. Most of the guys that came from these boats were at the pub up the street where a good band was playing live music and the drinks flowed freely late into the night.
The small cottage on the right side of the image has its own claim to fame in the computer game "The Lost Crown" as the residence of the main character during the game. If you like ghosts, looking for treasure, and seeing some very accurately mapped sights in this area of Cornwall this game is for you!
If computer games aren't your cup of tea I still highly recommend visiting Polperro as the folks are nice, the area is beautiful, and the food is superb.
