St Louis, Stand Up 2 Cancer
Submitted to Photo Challenge: Summer
The preparations for the free St Louis Stand Up to Cancer concert, featuring Sheryl Crow, was well underway when I made my way to the top of the Crown Plaza hotel to get this photograph of the arch, using a Polaroid 195 camera and pack of expired 667 film.
The hazy hot summer day, by the Mississippi river, softened the arch and distant background.
The crowd at the concert later that evening enjoyed the captivating performance by Sheryl Crow and guest, Elvis Costello.

A very unique shot... I'm so used to St.L looking so much more urban... and expecting there to be more people around especially for Sheryl Crow and Elvis Costello.
