The King of Pop, a Blender, and the Goldfish

I was walking through the West End yesterday and came upon this strange piece of art. It's hard to see in the photo, but there is a bit of scrawl near the blender that says "Save the Fish". The blender is connected to some sort of timing device. I'm not sure what it all signifies, but it was a lot of fun watching people walk by the exhibit. Most laughed and found it quite funny. Could it be that humanity is represented by the goldfish, and that Michael represented a kind of peace and love that we need to take on in order to save ourselves from destruction? Perhaps. What do you think?

I don't believe that this particular blender was even plugged in. It was merely done for effect. I wonder if the goldfish I was forced to swallow during initiation into my college fraternity died within in a second. I don't think it did. It seemed to be squiggling around in by throat for quite a while.
