Alone

I was walking around the Santa Monica Pier in California this summer, and I ran across this photo booth across from all the amusement park rides. This young girl was just sitting there with such a sad face. To me this is a dichotomy because people go to this area to have fun. Her expression reminds us how lonely someone can be no matter where they are. Take a moment today to be or say something extra nice to someone. It really does make a difference.

Great find, Laurie. Lots of emotion in that face.

She does have the sadest face. A wonderful capture.

Wonderful candid. Sme irony in the fact that you photographed her while she sat in a photo booth.
