This is a candid portrait of my grand father. He is very old - in his 80s. He says his time has come. He has grown frail and has lost interest in cowboy movies and reading short stories. Now he finds pleasure in little things. He sits and looks at the sky, he likes to eat sweets, he can not stay without watching cricket on TV, and he likes to cut his nails when they become big. I caught his mood during one of his engagements and had a photograph that would stay with me till I grow old. He was sitting by the window and cutting his nails. When I observed the Chiaroscuro, I took out my camera and pretended taking pictures of things spread around the room. Then when I saw he was very much into cutting his nails, I took this candid. Later when I showed him, he was very pleased to see himself doing something as simple as cutting the nails of his feet. As a one time photographer, my grand father found this picture to be very much like him.
