Swept Back in Time
Not only is the Italian village of Calcata full of fascinating medieval architecture, but colorful scenes of the late 60's and early 70's. During those years a group of artists and bohemians settled in this village that had been condemned by the government. All were attracted to the beauty of the town and a mythical energy that some say is there. The Falicans, a pre-Roman people, had used the mountain the town sits on as a sacred ritual site.Captured this shot in the town's main piazza.
