8 a.m. the river mist is just about gone...in fact it was gone 30 seconds later and replaced by bright blue sky. Only real change is the tree bottom dead center, it looks like it has been trimmed. It has not, but been covered with bird netting. That is our favorite pie cherry tree, heavy with fruit this year, and the robins have the mistaken belief we planted it for them.

I believe you have the most beautiful view in the US. Every week it changes, and the lighting is always spectacular. Gorgeous shot. Good luck with the cherries.

Love the look today.... the mist adds so much..... I'm sorry about the cherries..... Hope you get enough off of it for at least "one" pie.... be sure and save me a slice :)

The cherries are just now starting to turn from their green color to a blushing gold, will be awhile before they are entirely red, juicy and sweet/tart. If we get 90 percent of what's on there now, there should be about a half dozen pies. I'll let you know when we start to pick, 24 hours later the first pie will come from the oven. Don't be late, or forget the Vanilla Bean ice cream! We'll have rich, dark coffee to go with it.

Wonderful photo of your yard. It is a yard to envy and you have a cherry tree! My daughter had one when she lived in Redmond, WA. and we really enjoyed eating the cherries off of that tree. We just ate the cherries, didn't make pies - lol : ) Thanks for the invite, we will try to make it : )

The cherries (tart pie cherries) should be ripe in a couple weeks..providing it stays warm and sunny.

With all the cherry pie baking, we will have to change your name to Charming Billy. A beautiful shot of your yard.

Great capture! We used to have a Queen Anne cherry tree at our old house, and every year my husband would fight with the black birds!
