Dearest Sage and Isaac,
Your great great grandfather jumped a steamship, not far from this Brooklyn Bridge, to enlist in the army and fight heroically in the Spanish American War. Your mother, whom I'm proud to have as my baby sister, is a genuine heroine herself, for valiantly raising you boys on her own.
