words of wisdom
i love my old man. my da. he's only pretty much like the best dude thats ever lived. ever.
when i was a kid, he used to sing this. especially when it was only me and him. sat mornings. the girls were out... i'd be waiting for him to get the boat down...
"play this first fred."
then he'd start...
his mums name was mary too. i wonder, when he eyes were shut, and he sang with everything, if he was singing it to his mum too...
and when he dances he holds his ear like he's wearing headphones and he moves side to side. slow then fast. little side steps. he owns it. OWNS. my da.
We'd always muck around on those saturdays when i wasn't surfing or doing jobs...
but then my mum would come home.
"quick freddy! We've got to tidy this place up."
so this one goes out to my Da. the captain. cause when i was kid, and and i found myself in times of trouble, he would speak words of wisdom... that, or just bust my ass.
