Ivy Room

I took this photo in Pescadero, California a couple of years ago. The ivy outside the house miraculously forced its way in, by pushing through little crevices between the window frames and the walls. Two months after developing the photo I decided to come back again and further explore the house, but it had already been torn down and shredded to pieces.

...in an alternative version of snow white, she found this abandoned cottage in the woods...she didn't bother to tidy it up but set about plotting her revenge and ignored the seven dwarves entirely...

it's a beautiful image, I like that the door is halfway open. Also, the empowering highlights and saturation outside give it great contrast.
