Crossed Swords
One of over 50,000 wedding images I have made.
To avoid the guests (especially kids) from looking at me, I stay in the crowd until the last second. These shots are always candid. You get what you get. They have always been acceptable to me.
I use the Hasselblad 500 CM and the film is ISO 800 Kodak Portra, which allows for maximum depth of field. The strobe is a Sunpack 622 Super with Zoom Head. If I can, I bounce the light. The ceiling was too high and off white, so this was straight on.
Like so many of the wedding shots, anything can happen. This was a two shot moment, and it was over.
The lens is the Carl Zeiss 80mm f/2.8 CF Planar.

My parents were married at the Naval Academy in 1945, two days after Dad's graduation, and the photo of them under the arch of swords is something I treasure. Good blend of tradition and happiness here!
