I felt like an ant looking up this stairway leading to the Sienese fortification of Massa Marittima, a beautiful Tuscan village. Though I'd climbed steeper and far longer stairways in Italy than this one, a sprained ankle held me back from attempting to climb more than I had to take this shot.
