During live fire training, hose teams of two firefighters worked to put out remote-controlled blazes. After a few minutes, the trailer the training took place in was so hot that water in the firefighters' clothing turned to steam.
I was warned not to stand up when I was shooting the photos: "some of the spots in the trailer get up to 650 degrees; the cartilage in your skull will melt at roughly 700 degrees."
