The world is going urban. Demographic shifts are drawing people to cities which alters not only where, but how, people live, work, and play. Sustainability is morphing from a theory to an ethos and will continue to drive lifestyles and new technologies for the coming decades. Shifting land-use patterns towards walkable mixed-use places and away from sprawl will make transit more viable and reduce our dependence on the automobile and oil.
