Laveenia, a cousin of my friend went about her arangetram, her first performance on stage to an audience after the long years of studying Indian Classical dance. She was great, she danced with grace and confidence. It's one step for her in life, a fulfillment of a desire to be one with the dance and continue a tradition stretching back centuries.
