Saturday Shot nr 6
Slightly to the left (west) of the other shots and taken from the dining room window instead of the porch. Couldn't resist this one.
Enjoying my last cup of coffee for this lightly raining morning, dozens of grosbeaks, finches, humming birds and all the other moochers right outside the window providing entertainment. Movement caught my eye, there came a doe blacktail deer out for a snack. Grabbed the camera and got this shot. Only one bird in the photo, she'd spooked the others away...but they were all back within a couple minutes. Turned out that she had her fawn from last fall with her, and they both enjoyed 'brunch' of our trees leaves. Seemed to favor plum and red delicious leaves today. They dined for about a half hour then wandered off into the forest again.
Lighting: grey, overcast with light rain. 9 a.m.
Nikon CoolPix point n shoot.
(there is one grosbeak watching from the tree, can you spot it?)

Hey Dr Doolittle your backyard is amazing this weekend, and the past five others! These animals and birdlife know where they're welcome. Spotted the one up the tree. He was keeping an eye on the little doe. The yard looks lovely and fresh and green after the rain. Wonderful!
