This is my favorite photo of my father. This was taken when my parents visited me in Cleveland not long after he had been requested and required to take an early retirement from the government. Needless to say, as a father of four he had a lot on his mind.
I have traveled far in my brief span, but I'll never go the distance measured in my father's hands.
