Completely candid, I made this with an old Acura 500mm f/8 mirror lens mounted on a Nikon F2 Photomic camera body. I used Tri-X 400 film pushed to 1200 in Acufine developer. The meter was the camera spot, and the shutter speed was 1/125th 250th of a second mounted on a table top tripod set on a small plastic cutting board.( The aperature, again, is fixed at f/8.
She never knew the shutter tripped.
I made this exposure on Falmouth Beach, Cape Cod. I wanted to completely flatten the background.
The sepia was done on an 8X10 print (matte luster Kodak) and I used my water dodging technique with a fresh water hose. I warmed the soulution to 80 degrees...not as hot as I usually use.
