When we visited Tanzania, we had the opportunity to visit a local school. Several tours a day came through and for each tour the children would stand and sing a song and show us their workbooks. Money and supplies are donated to the school from each tour. These children (80% males) walked sometimes 10 miles to school, on unpaved and dangerous roads. The danger was not limited to the road itself, but also wild animals, the heat, and bandits. The girls were particular a target. I wondered what this young man was thinking on that day.
