Final Farewell
BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan -- Tech. Sgt. Dawn Allison-Hess grieves for four of her fellow coworkers during a memorial ceremony at Forward Operating Base Lion, Panjshir Province, Afghanistan, May 31. Air Force Lt. Col. Mark Stratton, the provincial reconstruction team commander, Army Master Sgt. Blue Rowe, unit first sergeant, Air Force Senior Airman Ashton Goodman, convoy driver, and Abdul Samad, unit legal advisor, were killed when their convoy vehicle was struck by a suicide car bomber May 26. More than 75 American and Afghan comrades paid tribute to their fallen teammates.
