This is the last usable picture I took before accidentally slamming my camera onto the hard cement tonight... breaking my 18-105mm AF VR lens in the process. ouch... man it hurts!
Oh, and this is the USS Hornet docked in Alameda, CA.

After searching around Craigslist.org and seeing everyone there selling their lenses at full cost, I decided to take a chance and see if a repair shop might be the answer... I told him I can afford up to $150... we'll see. Seems, not only the mounting mechanism is wasted, but that the rings are all out of whack... the glass looks good however...
