Filter: a 50mm f/1.8 lens, reversed.

Aperture: f/25

These flowers were about a centimeter across. Super tiny.

I used a 105mm micro with the 50mm reversed. I got as close as a centimeter. The depth of field was practically non-existent -- perhaps a few millimeters. Even at f/25 I could not get the whole flower in focus.

I used this technique after reading about the picture Carlos Bohorquez Nassar took of an ant's behind. Carlos used two 50mm lenses, one reversed, to accomplish his beautiful capture. Here is the link to his picture:
