  Hi Courtney, thanks for your encouraging comment, this deserted old house is located at Aseer Arae in the southern side of Saudi Arabia.. most of the old houses their were built from the Area stones or mixed mud with left overs of the farms, but after merging with new era they use now cement and steel..!!

  yes... and in Tajikistan people keep using readily available stones and build houses from it... I was really impressed seeing this old fortress and new small constructions... (www.jpgmag.com)
