On The Trail
We are in the heart of the Oregon Trail where I live. The Oregon Trail was one of the main overland migration routes on the North American continent, leading from locations on the Missouri River to the Oregon Territory. This image was taken at one of our local parks (O.C. Brown Park, in Dixonville, Oregon). It depicts a harsher time. I’m not sure how old this wagon is but it has been at this park since I was a small child.
My husband and I took the kids there yesterday and had a great time! This wagon is there for the childrens use, to climb on and pretend that they are being pulled by Oxen through the rough terrain.
