    Wow! Look at the beginnings, and the endings. Left the new sapling and the right, the dead left-overs. And the background, tipped by the golden light spreading towards the new growth. What a composition! I'd frame this!

    The reflections in the water resemble flames...the trees serve as a wonderfully colorful backdrop, and then we have the stuff in the center I would use as a stepping stone when I was a kid...The lovely decay :-) Great capture!
