IL Campo Shadow Play
Piazza del Campo, Siena's unique shell-shaped square, slopes down to Palazzo Pubblico, home of numerous Sianese treasures. Each year in July and August the Palio, a famous horse race that dates back to the Middle Ages, is held at this square. I love going there just to people watch and of course take pictures. Captured this one on a beautiful evening last summer.
