No one will ever know the complete story about how our daughter came to be, and all the suffering, pain, and deep sorrow that we endured to become parents. This is our miracle child. She came after four unsuccessful artificial inseminations and six unsuccessful IVF treatments; she is one of 43 eggs, and one of 23 embryos. She was born after the tubal pregnancy that took that baby’s life and nearly ended her mother life. She came into this world after three miscarriages and five years of disappointments. She is an only child, but that was not our choice. She will never meet her younger sister that was twice as beautiful as she is, because her sister never left the hospital. We are very happy to have her and now on any given spring morning we can go out to breakfast at Denny’s drive out to some country road and in one 500ths of a second snap a beautiful photo like this one, and the miracle of life is good and as simple and easy as that. She really does completes us and our lives are as rich and colorful as the flowers that surround her in this photograph.
