“Home Goods”
Call it “capitalism”, “entrepreneurial spirit”, whatever… It made our country great LONG before “entitlements” and “bailouts”. In its "small business" form, it’s manifested at a stand on St. Lucia island. Payment is on the “honor system”, which once 'worked' in the U.S.A. as well.
PROPS 1 & 2- John Rich, “Shutting Detroit Down”. FULL SCREEN video: Link in my "Profile". America is sinking FAST, my friends!
“My daddy taught me that in this country everyone’s the same
You work hard for your dollar and you never pass the blame…
"...in the real world they're shutting Detroit down
While the boss man takes his bonus pay and jets out of town
And DC’s bailing out the bankers as the farmers auction ground
Yeah while they’re living it up on Wall Street in that New York City town
Here in the real world there shuttin’ Detroit down...
“Well that old man’s been workin’ in that plant most all of his life
Now his pension plan’s been cut in half and he can’t afford to die…
LET ME TELL YOU, FRIEND, IT GETS ME FIGHTIN’ MAD!”

It is all about greed and selfishness Rob! Very few people give a damn about their neighbors much less anyone else. Great song!!

The America I knew is gone; I don't recognize this one. I was raised to believe that you put in a good day's work and received a day's pay for it. Not any more.....now its all about lying, cheating and greed. Good morning, America!

I am with you all the way on this, Rob! They should tar & feather those corporate bastards! OOPS, now I am all fired up!!!!! Do you think if about 5 Million boomers marched on Washington, that we would get their attention?

Warren, if they'd just let capitalism work-- and GM, etc. go bankrupt-- the NutBalls could have picked up a car mfg. and re-worked thinking: standard equipt. on all models-- backup camera, low lux camera in bumper for night driving, pocket-sized emergency 10MP camera in First Aid kit, camera built into front side of rear-view mirrors shoots stills/videos of passing landscapes, camera battery charger built into dash, 8" screen in NAV doubles with card slot for preview of pics just shot, etc.

Beautiful colorful image and no matter how the country turns out we can still appreciate the beauty left on this earth and that can't be taken away...

The cheerful colors in this dominate the shot. They mimic the gorgeous tropical blossoms that grow on the islands. This is beautifully captured, well composed, and a real mood enhancer.
