This is Stuart. I offered him a Kit Kat bar and we started talking.
Contrary to my belief that he'd be a typical low-life alcoholic beggar, by complete contrast he appeared to be highly educated, knowledgeable, and interesting to talk to.
He chooses to live this way rather than get a council flat, because of the freedom, he claims.
We shouldn't always judge people by their appearances.
He has certainly changed my preconceptions of London's homeless community.
