This little astronaut was made for a project I was planning on making. It's been on hold for a long time. The plan was to make a small book about this astronaut, but I figured it would take a crazy amount of work and time, without any certainty about the results. I might still do it later, in a different artform...
It's a story about loneliness, hope, disappointment and
reconciliation and it explains why the moon is lit by night, but sometimes also by day...
The astronaut was completely made from scratch by using metal wire, tape, clay, paint, cloth and a small christmas ball :)
The photo is unedited! The background is a black card with tiny holes and a flashlight behind it.
