The leap
This image was made at a dance competition I attended to shoot my daughter's performance. I always go early and shoot some of the earlier performers to get the feel for the lighting on the stage so I will be ready for my daughter's dance. I usually delete them, but when I saw this one I could not make myself delete it. It is not technicallly great, but I thought if someone got a picture of my daughter making a move like that I would want a copy. After the competition I tried to find the studio this girl dances for with no success. She and her parents don't know this picture exists. It was taken at Wingate University in April 2007.
