Yes, I'm fairly good at "beak reading" in the case of Silver Gulls and Australian Magpies, which are among the most demanding of their parents even after they are well able to fend for themselves.

I love to be able to get as close as possible to my subjects without "spooking" them and I find the detail that macro shows us absolutely fascinating.
