It seems that the future of our land is grim. We over-use and under-nurture and continue in this habit with little realization that the land won't give and give forever. This photo captures what I feel is our tomorrow... we may be ushering in a more barren landscape with the tracks and footprints of our prior neglect. Yet, there is hope. These sheep - if left to their own senseless wandering - would surely suffer and even die, but they are not alone. The shepherd is near and leading them through the barren wasteland to life sustaining water. I believe my own Shepherd is leading in the same way as he prompts and molds my heart: "See I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up, do you not preceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland."
