I took this with my LCA+ so I had no idea how the light would come out, but it came out just as I hoped. The softness of the light around Vito's body reflects how shy he was. Although not exactly a stranger as I'd seen him in school, this was the first time we really talked, so I guess this photo documents the moment he stopped being a stranger and became a friend. When I asked him to write something, he wrote the one thing that usually breaks the barrier between strangers and friends: 'hi'.
