"Spring Arrivals"
Along Newport, RI's Cliffwalk, just a short distance from the "Tea Party" image posted yesterday [beneath this one]. A tunnel prevents walkers from trespassing on mansion property above. Two people left of the tunnel's entrance provide scale.

Gorgeous shot, Rob! There is so much beauty around that area, and you capture it so well. It makes me want to go back. I love the sharp foreground and the soft blur on the background. Superb compostion. The color is splendid. I really love this one.

Cool shot, Rob. Did you ever think about being a travel agent! You certainly have the know-how. Has that tunnel always been there? We did the cliff walk in the late 80s and I don't remember it.

There are a few tunnels, Don, that have been there a while, but the Cliffwalk is quite long; perhaps you didn't travel to the southern end, where they are located?

great composition. love the wildflowers in the foreground. so do i understand this right? to get to the other side of the property and NOT to walk across that green grass, there is a tunnel to go to the other side and continue the walk?

Amazing........ as always!! Love this....

Gail, you have it exactly right! You must act like a gopher, walk through a long tunnel [75' or so] that takes you under the grass. You then emerge on the other side where the walk continues in sunlight. PROP 2 shows about 1/2 of the corrugated steel tunnel.

I did the cliff walk from beginning to end once. The southern end is quite demanding, where one has to clamber over boulders, That is a very beautiful shot that you have, Rob!!!

Looks vaguely familiar . . . I think I may habeen here once. And I do seem to remember the tunnel! Beautifully composition with the flowers splitting the frame on that upward angle across the front. And a perfect color contrast with the yellow and blue. Nice one! R

The Cliffwalk reminds me of The Marginal Way between Ogunquit and Perkins Cove along Maine's southern coast. Cool compo.
