    Thank you all for your wonderful comments. These spiders are not too difficult to photograph, as they don't seem bothered by the close proximity of the camera. The most difficult thing is to get the camera into the right spot without damaging the web.

    Perfect photo of this baby. I have seen these but did not know the final spin is a cross! Thank you for the info I will watch this spring and see if I can find one with a cross!

    I have a this thing about spider and I don't like them...however my finger outruled my brain and I had to click fav and tell you this is an outstanding compostion!

    I too used to be fearful of spiders in general, but have learned many of the differences through photography and internet research and there are only a few from which I keep my distance.
