... a tiny juvenile Orb Weaver ( 2.5mm body length or 0.1inch) at the centre of her first web. As she matures, the centre of her web will be marked by a large cross typical of the St. Andrew's Cross Spider..

Thank you all for your wonderful comments. These spiders are not too difficult to photograph, as they don't seem bothered by the close proximity of the camera. The most difficult thing is to get the camera into the right spot without damaging the web.
