Day 83/365 SP Face To Face
For now we see through a glass darkly; but then face to face....
I Corinthians 13: 12
Rainy day again so I did another SP experiment in the dressing table mirror. This one was not as simple as it looks, especially in trying to get my face to show in the mirror from the angle of the camera on tripod .I again used existing light with just the lamps and window lighting. I remember on rainy days I used to like to dress up in my mother's clothes when I was a child and this SP reminds me of those younger years.
When growing up
I should mention
I rarely played
With toys or dolls...
More attention
foremost of all
Was paid...
To the family pup.
I am still a child
I presume,
At heart...
Now bid my dolls,
To decorate
The room
upstairs,
Whilst I play
Dress up
On a rainy day!
Poetry by me AJP
In the Self Portraits photo essay.

I really like your light combination! Is that your Easter Bonnet?

Donald, It is one of my hats I have had for a number of years and thought it would be a good one to use on this SP to prevent my hair from blending in with the darkness of the background. Thank you all for your kind words!

Thank you everyone for your comments. Gloria, I don't collect old dolls...The only dolls I own in that size are the three I have in my photograph..Two of the dolls in the image are reproductions and the doll dressed in red is one from my childhood. The dressing table I paid less than $20 for at a thrift shop...I am the only antique in the picture, outside of the old room at the age of 65 pretending to be a child again! LOL

I love those colors you are wearing and the style too that goes nicely with your surroundings and shows up nicely with your reflection in the mirror. Your poetry goes well with the theme! Blessings from Bonnie -

Andrea, This picture really reminds me of my younger days even though I live in Australia and you are in America...the time is the same, it bought me back to a different time and place and I love it. It's very well taken. I too love your poem, you are so good at telling a story which ever way you do it. Love & Blessings, Sarina
