Wild Sweet Pea
I found this tiny flower at the edge of my yard. I have no idea what it is. I am quite sure its a weed of some kind. It is a most unusual flower but never the less quite beautiful.

Thanks to Patricia Shanahan, Judy Wanamaker and Ann Reece. The little wild flower is a Wild Sweet Pea. I remember the weeds from other years and of course pulled them up. This is the first year I have seen it flower. I may try and transplant a few. They seem to come in many colors. I, of course have the light purple. :-)

I have seen these also. I may be wrong but I thought it might be a wild sweet pea flower but I looked it up and the leaves do not match so I am at a loss as to what kind of flower this is - but it is pretty : )

A weed is something growing where it is not wanted. I have a number of environmental weeds growing in my garden along with many native plants. I make sure that the beautiful environmental weeds such as Agapanthus and Formosan Lily do not have a chance to set seed and spread into native bushland by beheading them when they finish flowering.
If this is a recent shot, by now your plant should be developing some seed pods and once they dry off the plant should grow easily from seed. Good luck.
