Solitude
The Black Rock Desert in Nevada is the most desolate place in the lower 48 states as far as people per square mile. It is impossible not to feel the loneliness and solitude that surrounds the land when out there. In the winter, even just off some of the main roads, you can go for weeks without seeing a soul.
