Don Corleone: We've known each other for many years but this is the first time you've ever come to me for counsel or for help. I can't remember the last time you invited me to your house for a cup of coffee, even though my wife is Godmother to your only child. But, let's be frank here. You never wanted my friendship and you were afraid to be in my debt.

Bonasera: I didn't want to get into trouble.

Don Corleone: I understand. You found paradise in America. You had a good trade, made a good living, the police protected you and there were courts of law and you didn't need a friend like me. But, now you come to me and you say "Don Corleone, give me justice." But you don't ask with respect. You don't offer friendship. You don't even think to call me Godfather. Instead, you come into my home on the day my daughter's to be married and you ask me to do murder for money.

I've always liked this scene from "The Godfather". Never underestimate the power and importance a simple cup of coffee can make between two people. :) Happy weekend!

If you think a simple cup of coffee is powerful, try reading, "Three Cups of Tea" by Gred Mortenson and David Oliver Relin. Since the events take place in Pakistan and Afghanistan, it's particularly relevent now. P.S. I love the color and stretch to infinity on your photo.

Words cannot express how beautiful this photo is. It leaves me breathless. I'll have to look into that "Three Cups of Tea", I have heard good things about it. Another great book is:The Seamstress by Sara Tuvel Bernstein, Louise Loots Thornton, Marlene bernst Samuels, and Edgar M. Bronfman. While it sounds like it may be a "womans" book it isn't, it is about a brave woman who went through the Nazi camps and survived. I could not put that book down!!!
