Assateague Island Wild Ponies
Submitted to Fairy Tale
For years and years, thousands of these ponies have been living unnaturally amongst seashore wildlife and common beach goers. It is believed that the wild ponies of Assateague Island first arrived in Maryland when a Spanish galleon ship (with a cargo of horses) sank offshore.
