One Very Mad Snake
After a hard rain, as I was putting food out for the Raccoons and I see a snake slithering down the drive way. I just have to know what it is, so I caught it by putting a jar over it. After finding out what is was, I kept it in the jar till morning. I really did not wish to put it out by the street as it would get run over. So I opened the jar by the back fence- toward a ditch, and let it go. With little fan fair and a mad look toward me, it was gone. I believe this to be a Eastern Female Mud Snake. 8-28-08

I'm not afraid of snakes either. they're interesting. Until they go after my baby bluebirds. Then the bluebirds have to win....can't take bird killing snakes.
