day two of not smoking - I have kicked the habit for just one full day = feels like I've been kicked in the head....my hands are bored and restless..my mind idle...my upper lip stiff, and my lighter abandoned.

In the in the light of darkness photo essay.

    blaaaaaaaaaah
I don't know why today (2nd day) is harder - I had a few "yelling at the dogs" episodes today...and I feel really shitty about the things I said.....about their barking outside...which was instigated by something foreign..
okay, I'm losing my mind...but not my friends, thanks !
no puffs, drags or butts about it, I am not smoking and have not prolly because of everyone's support...hey I know of someone trying along with me !!!!

Hey Sizta.... hope this helps... when i quit smoking i would chew on plastic straws - they kept both my hands and mouth busy. Problem is.... I chewed up to a case of straws/day and found it a WORSE habit to kick!! (kidding)

Yea for you, Peggie. I quit once too. I found that telling myself I was a NON smoker instead of an Xsmoker seemed to help me for some reason. I started visualizing the color pink and thinking about how every day off cigarettes my lungs were to be a healthy pink instead of a tarry sticky gummy coated ick color. I love your work. You are brave. You can do this. Best of luck.

Good for you and good luck. It takes a lot of strength to do what you are doing. Nicotine is very hard to kick. Have you tried nicotine gum or the patch?

you can do it! if i can do it at 35+ years of smoking over two packs a day, ANYONE can do it... one minute at a time, just take it one minute at a time...

That's a stunning self-portrait. Remember, one day at a time, sometimes one hour at a time, sometimes 1 minute at a time, & sometimes 1 second at a time. You'll get through it.

I dunno if I want to drag this out second by second...I will extinguish the anguish and take it one lifetime at a time.
