To be off the beaten path is to break away from the ordinary, and this image obviously does that very well. I'd rather have an extraordinary photograph of a somewhat ordinary place than vice versa. So I'd say this image fits the theme well.

    Perhaps Edward doesn't think anything but an isolated corner of the moon is off the beaten path, but it's all relative, and Shinjuku has many nooks and crannies that are indeed far separated from the madness of the Yamanote station. Great picture and well within the theme.
