I bought Miss Daisy at 8 weeks of age for $ 5.00 in front of a pet store 9-25-03. Her Father was a registered Scott and her Mother was a Cocker mix next door.
She is now a Therapy Dog and loves people. This day she went to a Halloween party at a pet store. She came as Minnie Pearl. She just knows she is a real Scottie and is my best friend. 10-24-06 Lower Alabama

GIVE ME A DOG
(author unknown)

Give me a dog to share my life,
Who's loyal and who's true,
Who couldn't care less if I'm rich or poor,
If my clothes are shabby or new.

Give me a dog who knows my voice,
And understands each tone,
Who loves me just the way I am
and takes me for his own.

Give me a dog who wags his tail
at the touch of a gentle hand.
And if I'm sad, or if I'm glad
He's the first to understand.

For life grows cold without someone
to lick away your tears,
And everybody needs a dog
to love them through the years.

Quite fetching outfit! Sweet story and great poem. I agree...animals love us unconditionally. Belly fat, bunions, and all.

I can see why Miss Daisy is a therapy dog. She seems to have such a gentle temperament and she just oozes love! And I love the poem too.
