  awesome!! ok, silly question, how in the world do you get the background to be like that? so white, almost translucent?...i have oh so much to learn about photography....and i so am getting a better camera one day! for now its just me and my trust ol' point & shoot.

  lindsay, camera is laying on the steps in my hallway aimed to the ceiling - so that's my background...the more you angle up, the less the clutter....I'm looking down over the camera......

  and the exposure has been metered for my face which was shadowed, the hall light was on so the background was about 2 stops over exposed which blew out any definition, nail holes, cobwebs, flies on the wall, etc.
