"The River Runs Through It"
From a public park just outside Le Chateau Frontenac, one sees across the St. Lawrence River to the city of Lévis. At this time of year an icebreaker is in daily operation to enable ferry service on the half hour.
"Lévis (officially Ville de Lévis (City of Lévis) ) is a city in eastern Quebec, Canada. It is located on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River, opposite Quebec City. A ferry links Old Quebec with Old Lévis..." -Wikipedia
Regarding this area, Angelo commented on another photo that this is "...one of my favorite places... specially the boardwalk overlooking the river!" At the time of my visit, however, it was more like "the snow and ice overlooking the snow and ice"...but still a very beautiful sight! The "haze" is the result of a light snow falling.

What I love most about this gorgeous photo is the almost black and whiteness of the entire photo, save the beautiful bright colors of the flag. Beautiful shot!!
